Council of Catholic Women
The Saint Dennis Council of Catholic Women (CCW), in partnership with our Diocesan and National Councils, works to empower our women of all ages (30’s to 90’s) in Spirituality, Friendship, and Service to our church and community.
We meet five times annually in Fracaro Hall, with both afternoon and evening meetings. We are a friendly, welcoming group of women, enjoying fun-filled meetings, good food, and great programs. All women of our parish are invited to join the CCW.

CCW Summer Newsletter 8/15/2023
Dear CCW Ladies,
A new year is just around the corner. Your Board has planned an exciting 2023-24 year that we will truly enjoy. Last year we continued to help our church & community through our good works.
Our service projects & other events included Lockport Food Pantry, Watts of Love, Nativity House, lottery basket for 175th Gala, replacement frame for Fr. Jim’s picture, diapers for Deanery baby shower, monetary donation to the roof project, towels for SOS Village, toiletries for women at Morning Star Mission, Vacation Bible School, and Shady Oaks Camp. Other activities included: paying for supplies for bathroom painting & decorating. We thanked Victor with a gift card. We also honored Marge Cankar for her 12 years of service on our Board. Our special “thank you” to Patti Weierman for sewing & donating the beautiful altar cloths.
In September, many members supported Suzy as the speaker at the Diocese “Evening of Gratitude,” held at the Blanchette Center. An April field trip: a tour of the Cathedral of St. Raymond, followed by lunch at Thayer’s was informative and fun. Our meetings were great including Spirituality Building with Katie Choudhary, Catholic Mandalas with Marge Mostyn, Christmas party, our fabulous jewelry auction and the fun evening of “Makeup For All Ages.” Lori Anderson was voted our “Woman of the Year” and was honored with Mass at the Cathedral. We also held our first St. Dennis Woman of the Year Recognition Mass with Father James giving Lori a special blessing.
We are hoping to do another Fall Rosary at Dellwood Park. Date to be determined. Our only fundraiser will once again be our Christmas Raffle. Members will be given tickets in the Fall. Dues remain at $5.00 and should be given to Mary DeSando. Please bring in a new member. Guests are always welcome.

– September 20th, Noon: Lunch & Cards for Sister Joanne. Please bring 2 stamps. Service Project: school supplies for a needy students. List will be emailed to you.
–September 24th 9:30am: CCW Recognition Mass
–October 25th 6pm: History of Guardian Angel Home & dinner
–December 13th noon: Christmas Party & Raffle
–March 13th noon: “Keeping Us Moving.” Kyle Dodge- Physical Therapist
–May 15th 6pm: Purse Auction
